Beon Energy Solutions brings more competition to the energy market

Australia’s energy market is set for a shake-up following the establishment of Beon Energy Solutions, the re-branding of CitiPower and Powercor’s unregulated business.

Launched as CitiPower and Powercor Energy Solutions in January 2016, Beon Energy Solutions provides agile, end-to-end energy solutions for utility, commercial and residential customers.

In the 10 months since its inception, the team has grown rapidly and achieved commercial success by focussing on facilitating customer choice in an open and competitive market.

“We delivered the $38 million Ararat Terminal Station 22 days ahead of schedule; continue to deliver the electrification of our expanding transport network; realised Victoria’s largest solar Environmental Upgrade Agreement and have sold more than 3 megawatts of solar panels year to date” said Glen Thomson, General Manager, Beon Energy Solutions.

“We are really proud of the role we’ve played in finding the right energy solutions for utilities, private network owners and commercial and residential customers,” he said.

The rebrand of Beon Energy Solutions follows the release of the Australian Energy Regulator’s final ring fencing guidelines yesterday.

“Other than the change to our brand, the ring-fencing guidelines effectively only has a positive impact on our business. We are still the same group of talented people driven by the same values, using the same processes to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions for our customers in a safe and consistent manner,” he concluded.
