About the project
The Hughenden Solar Farm in central Queensland generates enough renewable energy to power up to 6,800 homes.
More than 60,000 solar panels over 34 hectares can generate 20 MWp.
Hughenden started operation in 2018 after taking just six months to build.
More than 100 jobs were created during construction.
Hughenden is one of three operational Australian solar farms developed and owned by BayWa r.e.
